"I'm confident this will be one of the most successful years yet because we have Longo's and their wonderful staff 100 per cent behind us, supporting us every step of the way," said Carolyn Holmes, mother of Luke who is the namesake of the fundraiser. "The room is triple the size of our previous venue, brighter, and easier to access." Every February, during Heart Month, Carolyn and Troy Holmes, along with their sons Zak, 10, Max, 9, and Jackson, 3, commemorate the life of their son and brother, Luke Holmes, who died from cngenital heart disease in 2006. Now in its fifth year, Luke's Legacy Sweethearts is an event where kids and parents can spend the afternoon decorating a heartshaped, nut-free sugar cookie, provided by Artsy Baker, which they can purchase for $5 each.
