Team In Training (TNT), a campaign that raises critical funds for blood cancer research and support programs, is accommodating Oakville participants by bringing coaching and training closer to home. Local TNT coaches include Peter Von Euw and Vera Guthrie. Von Euw is a regular pacer at the Boston Marathon and recently received iRun's 2012 Running Award. Guthrie, who has completed more than 55 races and 12 full marathons, has been teaching power walking for more than 10 years. Teams are now forming for the summer season, which will include marathon and half-marathon events in California, Alaska and Nova Scotia. An information session will be held Saturday (Feb. 9) at The Running Company (114 Lakeshore Rd.
