Hanging wallcover- ings is a satisfying task, bringing new beauty and livability to the home, apartment or condomin- ium. Also, if you do try and do-it-yourself, it's a great inflation beater. The new prepasted, scrubbable and strippable wallcoverings, can improve any interior and be hung iii a few hours' time. Hanging prepasted, strip- pable wallcovering requires these tools: Level or plumb bob Yardstick Scissors Razor knife Straight edge Bucket and sponge Waterbox Smoothing brush Seam roller Your wallcovering dealer will advîse you on proper surface preparation; then, follow these steps: Step I-Pull wallcover- ing through waterbox to fully moisten paste. Allow paste to become fully satu- rated. Step 2-Smooth the strip with a wet sponge or smoothing brush. Small bubbles less than 1" dia- meter wiIl dry out flat. Prick lar.ge bubbles with a pin and press flat. Step 3-Trim at base- board and ceiling uine, using a razor blade or razor blade knife.
