Paul Wilkinson, 12, of Whitby was the only winner in town. He. placed second in the Grade 6 category for his poster and slogan which reads: "Monkey see, Monkey do. Don't be an apa, get in shape." The contest was open to ail grades 4 - 6 students in the region with three cash prizes awarded in each grade. Wilkinson won $10 for his entry. A convenient schedule of four two-week sessions is available for bath pre-sehool and schoal-age children. Imaginary paly, painting, crafts, organized indoor and outdoor activities, storytîme and snack are ail aspects of the pre-sehoal program for children 2-5 years of age, held every weekday mor- ning from 9:30 - 11:30. Locations include Floren- ce Heard Public School, West Lynde Public School and Ail Saints Anglican Church in Whitby and a shared lca-i1ity with the Glenholme-Mva plewood Cen- tre at Chirý-t Church (Anglican) in Oshavwa. Emphasis is aime at providing opportunities for learning experiences in a supervised and comfortable group setting. The total fee is $20 per child per session. A variety of organized sparts and exciting and more-involved craft work wil be enjoyed by school- age children, 6-12 years of age, every weekday after- noon from 1: 30 - 3:3:30.
