ARTS DANCE Whitby Arts Inc. will celebrate spring 1980 with a good old fashioned barn dance. The event will take place at Heydenshore Pavilion, Friday, April 25, from 8 p.m. tol1a.m. AIl residents of Whitby and surrounding com- munities are invited to take part in the miic, dancing, a down-home buffet supper, and maybe win a door prize. There will also be a cash bar. Admission is $15 a couple. As well as being a gala social event, the barn dance is one of Whitby Arts' fun- d raising activities for this the lth anniversary of the Station Gallery. GIRLS' SOFTBALL The Whitby Girls' Athletic Association will hold their registration for the 1980 girls' softball season on April 12 and 19 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. in the lobby 0f the Iroquois Park Arena. The league is open to all girls between the ages of seven and 18. The cost is $15 for the first girl in each family, $10 for the second girl in the same family and $5 for each other girl, also in the same family. LACROSSE REGISTRATION The Whitby-Garrard Road Minor Lacrosse Association will hold their registration for the upcoming season on April 5 at the Iroquois Park Arena. Featured this year will be a non-contact bouse league as well as the representative league. The cost is $10 a child or $15 a famnily. Boys and girls between the ages 0f four and 19 are welcome. BAZAAR The St. Thomas A .C.W. will hold their spring bazaar on Saturday, April 26 at the Church Hall in Brooklin. There will be baking, craf- ts, plants, new-to-you, books and tea tables. HANDHOOKED CRAFTS There will be a tea and display of handhooked craf ts on Saturday, April 19 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at St. Mark's Church House. Admission is $1 and a doorprize will be given away.
