- - WHITBY FREE PRESS, WEDNESI)AY NIARCH 26. 1980, PAGE WELCOME HOME To Ida and Jack Nixon, who had an interesting and slightiy exciting Carabbean vacation. Jack tells me Barbados is a delight, but the air flight (or non-fiight) from Antiqua to Mon- tserrat ieft a lot to be desired. Besides being almost stranded in Antiqua, their fight home was 12 hours deiayed, landing unexpectedly in Trinidad. The air terminal at Trinidad has a comfortabie floor for sleeping. However, ail is well and with a littie more rest they wiiI be fit as a fiddle. To Lynn and Lou Majoros, who had a ski vacation during the winter break. At this point we aren't sure whether they went skiîng or swimming. KENDALWOOD ROAD OR KENDALWOOD DR.? To those of you who live on Kendaiwood, don't rush out and change your mailing address to Kendalwood Dr. A town of- ficiai has confirmed that the Town of Whitby officiaily con- sider the name of the street to be Kendaiwood Road. The sign that reads Kendalwood Dr. obviousiy is in a wrong location or- -someone goofed. K-NIART EXPANSION Devan Enterprises are adamant that the proposed steak and burger restaurant be situated on the corner of Kendalwood Rd. and Dundas Street. The developer dlaims that is the town does flot rezone said lands in question. no other location for a restaurant would even be considered. It would almost appear the developer was unaware of the restricted area zoning at the time he purchased the property. Would anyone be naïve enough to purchase a valuable piece of property without some assurance that a bylaw amendment to allow a restaurant would be forthcoming?
