IBetween You andMe By RUTH CHIAMBERS About a clarivoyant and hlis experience Vince, born in Holland is an interesting man and a clair- voyant. A clarivoyant 18 sorneone who lias always been able to see what others are incapable of seeing. In other words he sees clearly which means to be free of darkness, cloudiness or ob- scwrity. To be rnentaily alert, acute.and Idiscerning without confusion and uncertainty. Unfortunately our visit was cut short by an unexpected cail from hils native Amsterdarn to ask him to return the following day for family reasons. However, upon his return we will talk again and 1 wiil have more questions to ask him. There 18 fno doubt some human beings are born with a highly developed sense of the "unseen"; others, rnaybe because of 111e experiences develop it. We probably ail have the potential but are incapable of understanding. This man's grandparents, on bis mother's side, his parents and brother and sister were al intuitive. For Vince it ail began early in life. He realized at a young age he saw things other people couid not see. His parents understood but often out- siders did not. Once when he was quite young he saw a skul rather than kils Aunt's face witli a date across it when skie came to kils home. He was fooish enough to speak about it and was severaily reprimanded by kils mother. His aunt died on the given date. So here we corne to a puz- zling thing for many of us. Our lives no doubt are predeter- mined and many of us realize this. There are too many stories, true stories of these happenings to dispute it. 1 have a friend who sees auras around certain parts of someone's body, an ankie say or an arm. These are not peaceful or pleasant auras but angry red or black emissions. He neyer speaks about it to the person because in the past it either created fear or laugliter. But, always he hears the resuit of kils "sight", a broken or damaged ankie or arm whichever the case might be. Odd, yes, queer no, just not understood by ail of us. An odd man, no, but a gifted composer and even in that way he is set apart. The "second siglit" Vince has was intensified and heightened during the war no doubt for self preservation. Because the enemy mistakenly thought the family were Jews they were put into a holding camp before being taken to a con- centration camp. On the spur of the moment he literally walked out. He realized it was death then or later; a shot now or an agonizlng death in a death camp. We can understand why sucli experlences intensify our natural instincts. An awareness Is created such as rnany animais have to keep them from harm. I was interested in how he "saw". This taes different forms in different people. He likened it to seelng a moving picture without boundries, just a progression of scenes. He sees internaily without boundries, just a progression of scenes. He sees internaily witkiin his head anid can so* a "stfi" lnpitrur wtkin kils mid. HOURSý MON. - SAT. 10an-5 p.m. Ind(strial Malil WFITBY Happily for me these are good things and according to hlm this is Oie route I arn going to take. So it wou.ld be easy to say, of course, you'1l follow kils power of suggestion. No, I have no thouglit of that at ail, as I think 1 know already what 'm doing ard it doesn't go beyond that. Many years ago, I was persuaded very rnuch against my will to go to see a woman who was really an expert at tellîng people where to find lost dogs! Skie rarely failed. I had lost a rnuch loved dog so af ter much urging I saw this wornan who kias since died. Skie was very much interesteci in other tkings which I did flot want to hear and told ber so. However skie per- sisted and it ail came true. She insisted I was going across the ocean in a few rnonths. I insisted that I was not and tried to pay ber Oie dollar and leave. By now panic had set in because rny oldest daugliter was going to Europe for a year and I en- visaged an accident or sickness and 1 would suddenly bave to go. I had just had a bouse bufldt and Oie iast thing I wanted to do was go away aânywhere. However, I went just as skie said and not against my wiil but that is a story in itself. Because this small boy was different from other chiidren his farnily took im to their family doctor wlio had quite a knowledge of parapyschology. Mfter a thorough check he said Oie child was quite normal in every way and not to worry. Vince says whatever kie sees has a meaning and can always be used for good. Maybe lie has been given ability and strength to do good. A clairvoyant wkio has integrity neyer abuses Oie gif t as they realize how dangerous this could be s0 they must be responsible at ail costs. FREE PRESS, WEDNESI)AY FEBRUARY 20. 1980, PAGE 27 It 15 aniazing how rnany sensible, highly intelligent people believe in this type of thing. Judges, lawyers, doctors and busqiness people and on the other hand hardened criminals, silly, emotional folk or people out for a lark. So many people are interested and often Urnes for very valid reasons. 1 reserve judgement but keep an open mind and can only talk of my own experiences and that of my friends. Clairvoyants too, often have the gift of healing but only in conjunction with the medical profession. They are not a threat but an added dimension. We hear a great deal these days about holistic niedicine or'healing which seenis to me to be what a great number of us shared with our doctors in the past. They knew us well, even though we miglit not have needed their ministrations. They truly were our "family" doctors - neyer too busy to hear us through or to caîl at the bouse to ses a chuld with a cold. This type of relationship sirnplified it ail. So a busy doctor of today can benefit with help whlch rnany do and especially in a country like Holland wliere tliey work happily and well together. A quack is a fraudulent pretender to medical skiil or when it comes to clairvoyants one who pretends to knowledge or skill which they do not possess. Most likely Oie answer is to be aware and neyer because of emotional needs seek help without knowing what you are doing. If you are vuinerable be careful. When Vince returns we shaîl have another talk. I look for- ward to having another reading at another time. Every coluxnn leads me down different paths, ail of Oiem lnteresting and ail informative. So, rnost probably with this column there will lie more to add to it.
