A highly regarded resident of North Grimsby township for the past 10 years passed away suddenly on Thursday evening last in the person of Andrew Maitland Zimmerman, in his 72nd year. The latter Mr. Zimmerman was born at Milton on October 12, 1864, and before coming to North Grimsby, had resided at Hamilton for some time...Surviving are one son, Merton W., North Grimsby, and three grandsons, Wilbert, Keith and Leroy. Four sisters also survive. A large number attended the funeral held from his late residence, Main Highway West, on Sunday afternoon. Rev. E.A. Earchman of Trinity United Church, conducted the services at his home and graveside. Interment was made in Queen's Lawn Cemetery. The pallbearers were William Mitchell, R.O. Smith, William Smith, William Geddes, S.Letson and William McNiven.
