Mr. Robert Brown, who has been a resident of Grimsby for the past 10 years, passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Lawrence Glass, Doran Avenue, Grimsby, on Friday, July 17 in his 84th year. The deceased gentleman was a native of the County Down, Ulster, Ireland, and came to Canada in 1886. He resided in Toronto until 1904 when he came to Grimsby to live with his daughter, Mrs. Glass. His wife predeceased him 10 years ago. ... The service was held in the house by the Rev. L.H. Currie and interment took place at Queen's Lawn Cemetery. Three of his sons and all of his daughters were present at the funeral, one son, who lives in Providence, Rhode Island, being unable to be present. The deceased is survived by four sons, John of Providence, Rhode Island, Robert, James, and David of Toronto, and three daughters, Mrs. Prentice and Mrs. McCarter, Toronto and Mrs. Lawrence Glass, Grimsby.
