Frank Brydges, a well known resident of Kenora, Ont. died there on Wednesday last as a result of injuries received while switching in the CPR yards in that town. While attempting to step on the pilot of an engine to ride to the end of the yards, he missed his footing and fell, his leg being severed below the knee and other injuries from which he never recovered. He was 43 years old and leaves a widow and three children. He was a native of Jarvis and an old school chum of Councillor A.B. and G.G. Bourne of Grimsby. The deceased was married 17 years ago in the home of Mr. and Mrs. James A. Livingston, to Miss Annie Sturch, sister of Mr. Andrew Sturch of North Grimsby, who had been connected with the Independent for over seven years.
