She is survived by her four daughters, Leslie Bush-Harriss, Kim Gould (Hal), Kerris Cook, and Lindsey Dragone (Nick), and grandchildren Daniel Harriss (Courtney), Hallie and John Gould, Jordan and Barrett Cook, and Frank, Dana and Cole Dragone. She will also be fondly remembered by her sisters-in-law Violet Mountjoy and Phyllis Mountjoy and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Ley Bush, brothers Jack, Frank, Ray and Bill Mountjoy, sister Madge Aldridge and her son-in-law Michael Cook. Dorothy was born in Toronto May 6, 1924, daughter of Frank and Maggie Mountjoy and the youngest of six children. She met and married Ley Bush while he was attending U of T in 1946, and upon graduation, they lived in St. Catherines, then Vancouver and settled permanently in Oakville in 1957, where they raised their four daughters. Dorothy worked hard as a homemaker, raising her girls and indulging a flair for interior decorating and antique restoration. She possessed a natural eye for design despite no formal training and it was a lifelong passion. Dorothy's other abiding passion was animals and for thirty years she spent most mornings walking a succession of beloved yellow Labradors at Coronation Park. Dorothy also was an active member of her bridge club for 47 years, and the members were her lifelong friends. Friends are welcome to pay their respects at a visitation to be held at the Glen Oaks Memorial Chapel and Reception Centre (3164 Ninth Line, Dundas/403) on Wednesday, October 17 from 5 - 8 p.m. A private family service of remembrance will be held at a later date. Donations in Dorothy's name to the Oakville and Milton Humane Society or the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Canada would be appreciated. The family wish to thank Mirela, Puvan and the staff at Oakville House at Wyndham Manor for their care of Mum during the last challenging months.
