"Some of them have V-12 Rolle Royce aircraft engines,» says Carson, chair of the event for five years but involved with organizing for 17 years. Contestants are udged on speech-making, congeia lity, modeling,an their response (two minutes) to an unprmptuquestion. Te winner wiiI make presentations during the fair --distributing ribbons prizes - and compete in the 1997 ONE Ambassador of tle Fairs conteet. A bingo will follow the pageant, with fimds raised going to the Special Olympioe.
