The Evaporator functions as a heat exchanger, it s cooled to approximately 42 degrees F. and air is forced over it. That same air loses heat to the metal evaporator (heat always travels from hot to coid). The air with Iess heat now is deiivered int the vehicle passenger compartment through the air handiing system, dash outiets, defrost oulet or tloor outiets.
