"Mhe response by the commulnity to our request for additional help bas been overwhelming" says James Dubray, executive director. "As of Dec. 20, we have been able to provide gifts and food for ail identified familles and teens. To date 137 familles and teens who are involved with the CAS will have a brighter Christmas because the community. cares about those who have less." A supply of toys and non- perishable -food goods bas also been donated which will be used to MIl last minute emergency Christmas hampers. Last year a total of 126 familles *Brooklin Square Boy Pizza (Ashburn & Myrie) and teens received hampers through 'the program. It ls anticipated that by the time Christmas is over, about 150 families and teens will have been aided by the program. "More than half of the hampers that have been filled have been as a resuit of our appeal for assistance. Many of these donors are families who want their children to understand that there is more to Christmas than receiving expensive toys under-the tree."
