Page 10. Whitby Free Press, Wednesday, October il, 1995 The Whitby Courthouse Theatre has cast the firat production of its 1995-96 season. ItRuns in the Family is a British farce by Ray Cooney, a well-known playwright who also penned such bits- as Moue Over Mrs. Markham, Run for Your Wife and Children of a Lesser God. The play takes place in the doctors' common room in a London hospital. Mayhem ensues when a neurologist, about to present a speech that will ensure him a knighthood, suddenly cornes face- to-face with an indiscretion from his past. Doctors, nurses and a police officer are ail part of the antics that go on in this frenzy- paced farce. Award-winning director Frank Knight bas brought together a group of talented and experienced comedie actors. Well-known local actors Jim Rensbaw and Jim Neilly co-star in the roles of Dr. Mortimore and Dr. Bonney, respectively. Renshaw directed NeiIIy in Whitby Courthouse Theatre's award- winning production of Breezeblock Park last season. Also reunited from that show are Eric Newton, Jean Renshaw and Paul Love. The cast is rounded out by Bob Wilkinson, Alexandra Savage-Ferr, Adanm Smith, Sheila Jones (also producer of the show), Joyce McCready, Harry McKew and Barb Farrow.
