Since 1990, the Region lias presented il awards of merit to deserving organizations. Last year's recipients were Dupant of Canada, Whitby Mental Health Centre and PPG Canada. Awards will be presented at Durliam Region's third, annulal industrial, commercal and institutional waste reduction seminar on Nov. 15 in Oshawa. Award recipienta will be selected from two categories: businesse whicli have demonstrated leadership in reducing their waste; an individual whose liard work and perserverance lias had 'a measurable impact in the workplace or comrnunity.
