There was College ollers new program in. job adjustment Durhamn College's north campus (Uxbrdge) is now o'ffering a 10-week program for individtuals receiving unemploy- ment insurance benefits. The career adjustment program is designed to assist unemployed individuals return to the workforoe. The program offers training in vocational assessment, personal development planning, career counselling and computer training. "The job placement rate of this prograin offered at our Uxbridge location over the past four years bas been 86 per cent. I strongly recommend this program," commented Martin Cooney, training consultant of the Durhamn College Uxbridge Campus. The start date for the next career adjustment program 15s Jan. 9. The school's 60 homerooms also collected food for 24 individual familles. Henry Street High Sohool students also staged a similar drive. Student' s auction raises $400 Nichole Price, a Pickering igh School student and survivor of a brain injury, raised more than $400 through a silent auction held at a recent financial planning sermar. Price, who organized the auction as a project for her peer leadership course at Pickering High, solicited auction items frora inesmet companies and financial institutions.
