Access program receives fundling The Ontario gvernment je giving Durham Region's super- vised access program about $75,000 a year in permanent funding. The centrefgves children and their non-custodial parents or family members a neutral, safe and supervised setting in which te visit. There are 14 supervised acces centres in Ontario, with the firet beginning as a pilot projeet in April, 1992. Volunteers staff the centres, which serve anywhere fromn 15 te, more than 100 families per month, depending on the size of the cornmunity in which they're located. A citizen spotted three people actingin a suspicieus manrier in an Ajax shopping plaza and reported the license number te plce.
