The public is invited to meet the artist at a gallery reception on Sunday, Nov. 6, 2 ta 4 p.m. Maki's series consists of a limited range of darkly radiant colours and shapes: the form of a fish, droplet of water or the pointed top of an exclamation mark, screen-printed in diffrent places on ber expansive prints. She also slices geometric forme into ber collages. In hier large collages, silkscreen material eut out and used in juxtaposition moves in several directions at once. Edges and visual shifts multiply. Born in Sudbury and raised in North Bay, Maki's work has been consistently exhibited in group and solo shows since 1974., Exaniples of ber work are in public and corporate collections in Canada and the United States.
