In gaine one, the defensive-minded Whitby tearn defeated Scarborough Sabres 5-0. Adami Stein scred three goals, Thomas Farquharson and Stuart Petrie had one each. The Might Dunlops then blanked the host Wexford tearn 3-0, the victory secured by the superb goaltending of John Ross who also contributed an assist on the third goal. Petrie had two goals, Andrew Lebel ahd a goal and an assst. In the chamnpionsid-p game against Cedar FER1, Whitby fired three goals in the first, Stein, Farquharson and Petrie scoring. The second period saw Whitby increase their lead to 4-2 with a goal scored by Ryan Hnatko. The chaxnpionship was sealed in the third period with.two more goals from Petrie and Jason Gordon. Ini league play Whitby picked up two victories in the past week, defeating Leaside 2-1 (goals by Bradley Arbour and Stein), thon defeating Markham 4-1 (goals by Arbour, Farquharson, Cordon and Stein).
