Learn to roller skate The WVhitby RoIler Skating Club will be taking registration for its learu-to-skate prograin on Saturday, Oct. 16 at Wheelies. The 'Eight Badge' program is taught by professional coaches sud some of Canada's tep-ranking amateur artistic êkaters. The basics of roller skating are taught, including stopping, edges, turns sud backward skating, for ages 3 sud up, including aduits. After completing the eight- badge prograni, akaters are welcome te) join the junior club where they will learn basic jumps, spins' dauces sud figures sud have the opportunity te enter competitions. The senior club is for the more experienced skater, as the level of competition increases sud more dedication la needed. Four members of the club are now preparing te leave for the world championships in France later this month.
