Good turnout expected for 0 Terr Fox Run m Whitby The organizer of the Sept. 19 Terry Fox Run in Witbyi hoping to exceed the amount raised at ast year's first ever run. Marilyn Peck was astonished jwhen $8,000 was raised froni the 1992 run, hastihy organized at the last moment. This year she'hl have plenty of assistance -- about 35 volunteers and she'd like to raise at least $10,000 for cancer research. "There's been a good response 50 far this yeair," says Peck about interest in this year's event, to be j held from 9 am. to 4 p.m. from the courthouse and Durham Region headquarters building at the corner of Rossland Road East and Garden Street. She says there will be one- kilometre and five-kilornetre routes offered in addition to the lO-kilometre route.
