Tie show, under the patronage of Lieutenant Governor Henry Jackman, will again include a lecture by Brian Musselwhite, curatorial assistant at the Royal Ontario Museum. The show, presented b y the Alumnae Association of Trafal- gar Castie Sehool, kicks off with a gala premiere on Thursday, Aug. 26, 7 to 10 p.m. Cost.is $25, an d reservations are required by calling 668-3358. The lieutenant-governor will attend the gala premiere. He will be the tenth lieutenant governor to visit Trafalgar Castie. The daily admission is $5. Al proceeds go to the school. Saturday's roast, that included live country music, was the lar- g est yet -- about $200 was raised fast year -- but organizers plan an even largýer event next year. Some of the day's sights and activities will include an antique clock display' at Bank of Mon- treal; historie photo disp lays at Bank of Montreal ansd ya Canadian 'Legion Hall; a display of historie poice and fire dep art- ment vehic es; a historic walking tour of Whitby; explorations of family and ancestral history at the Whitby Public Library (main branch); performances by the County Town Singers, a magical busker, meandering minstrels and the Whitby Brass Band; and apple pie and preserves contests. This year's Heritage Day will aise celebrate the 5Oth annivers- ary ofth launching of Her Majsty' Canadian Ship (HCS) Witby. Membors of the Wrhitby-Osh- awa branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society will be at the Whitb>y Public Library bet- ween 1 and 4 p.m. for those interested in exploring their own family history.
