Whitby By Lucie Rochette Cowboy boots are the most popular items with custorners at a new western clothing store in east Whitby. Business has been "good» at Wild Willy's Western Wear -- "ju1st spitting distance from Koo Koo Bananas," in the Kendal- wood Plaza, says the store's manager and the- owner's brother Lance Gray Inaâadition ta Leather boots, Wild Willy's selîs western shirts, jackets, hats, coats, ties, collar tips, toe caps and even kids' boots, as well as rnany other items. Much of the merchandise sold at Wild Willy's cornes from Canada, but there is also some that cornes from the southern United States, such as Texas. SMerchandise also cornes from Mex.ico and South America. The store's owner, William Gray, decided ta, locate in Whitby because there really wasn't that kind of store in the area, says Lance Gray. Is there an increasing popu- larity in western wear? "Oh yeah, for sure," says Gray.
