The first gaine against Pleasantview was an easy win for Whitby as they skated te a 7-0 win. Bryan Crilly had a great night, scoring three goals. Joey Sirnonnetta continued te drive te the net and picked up a pair of goals. Derek Powers and Wayne Richard rounded off the offence, scoring once each. Stephen Corey and Joehua Williamns contributed te the offence with a couple of assists eaeh. Goaltender Jasen Johnsten was hot in this game and miade key saves late in the gaine te earn the shutout. The second gaine saw Whitby corne out fiat against an aggressive Pleasantview, faling behind by two goals early in the game. Wihitby came alive in the second period and tied the game on goals by Powers and Derek Van Egmend. The third period saw Whitby move ahead by two goals, with Powers picking up is second of the gaine on a ice set-up by Ryan McCarron while Stephen Mace scored an insurance goal late in the third on a pass fromn Ryan Peacocke. Wàhy stopped skating late in the gaine and saw Pleasantview charge back to tde the gaine with 18 seconds remaining. The tie in the second game ferced the series to a third gaine. Coaches Stewart Mace and Deug Peacocke feel the team is now playing some of its best hockey, and with centinued strong teain play, should de well in the North York semià-finals.
