In the flrst game, a close contest against Chinguacousy, the score was tied 3-3 until Sean Brackin scored in an empty net on a pass from J. P. Galipeault. Other Whitby goals were by Galipeault (two) on assists from Bryan Mantie and Carl D'Carlo. Brackin also had two, with an assist &com Kurtis Lindeil. MVP was Matthew Redshaw. Whitby then played a hard- fought gaine against Weston, losing 5-3. A maximum of 20 teams can compote in the event to be pro- sented by Anderson and Wilfrid Laurier University. The event is beingr organized by Trevor Demeris and Christina Schmiegelow, Anderson gra- duates who are now mn their second years at Laurier. They organized the tourna- ment as part of their physical education administration course. The tournament entry -fee is $30 per team, with a free T-shirt for each participant.
