Under cross -exnm in ation frorn Crown attorney Lisa Grant, Lin- dros agreed that he could have left the dance floor after being sprayed a second time, but diM not. Admitting he shoul d not have raised the issue ci his salary, Lindros repeatedly denied Grant's charge that it was done te "intirti idate" Nunney. "I w&6e frustrated, she was making allegations,» said Lin- dros. "I suggest to you Mr. Lindros that you said those things te her because it was your last shot at her,» replied Grant. In her closing arguments, Grant said that while Lindros' witnesses aIl swore they did not sec him pour or spit beer at Nunney, none could swear that he did not and ail gave difféerent versions o?~ what transpired.
