In the one-day, eight-team tournament, Whitby s fîrst opponent was the Willowdale Black Hawks from the Metro Toronto Hockey League. Whitby, having not skated for a week, scored a goal on the first shift and easily grabbed a 9-1 victory over this first-place teamn in the A division of the MTHL. Next up was the hast teain, Markham. Once again Whitby dominated the game and skaedto a 5-1 win that sent Whitby to the cham- pionship against the also unbea- ton Woodstock team. In this game Whitby showed that they were the beet teani in the tournament, and despite a seven minute lapse in the game, cruised to a 6-3 championship victory.
