Goals were scored by Mike Astalos and Chase AtInson with assistas going te Chiasson, Atkineon and Chris Michaud. LeFroy scored late in the first period to take a 3-2 lead. LeFroy scord the only goal in the second period which saw exciting two-way hockey. With less than five minutes left in the game, Rae led the Whitby comeback by assisting on David Beckford7o goal and scoring the tyin goal unassisted. Ryan Robb also assisted on Beckford's goal. Dusty Sargent's fine goal- tending preserved the tie and overtime was required. The overtinie period was played without goaltenders. Whitby controlled the play in overtirne which resulted in a Nicholas Michie uziassisted goal at the 44-second mark. This was a total teain victory with excellent backchecking from ail the forwards, includîng Andrew Allison and Scott Cook. The defensive unit of Mike Knbrynovich, Mike Liaske, Brian Leni, Michaud and Robb continued te, clear the front of the net with clean, aggressive play. Whitby's moat valuable player for the gaine was Chiasson. Missing fm the Whitby teain was Kevin Taylor.
