Because of the overwhehning response at the tournament held last year at Thunderbird Golf and Country Club, the' Optimist golf committee decided ta, hold the tournainent on two golf courses this year. 1"Last year we had booked 72 tee-off times for the tournament. Eightyr youths registered in advance and more than 100 showed up on the day cf the tournainent," says Keith Wick, chair. "The golf course couldn't accommodate all cf the youths so the inéxperienced younger players were taken ta the driving range and putting green for a mini taurnainent. "This year we have booked Thunderbird for the 13- ta 17-year-olds who will play 18 holes and the 9- ta, 12-year-olds will play nine hales at Winchester an the sanie afternoon."
