Jennifer Crowder of Whitby bas qualified for the senior national swim chanipionships in the 200-metre backstroko. The 17-year-old qualified after a second-place finishi in the event at the A level of the Etobicoko Pepsi A-B invitational over the past weekend. Crowder, from the Whitby Iro- quois Swun Club, will compete in the nationals in Winnipeg Feb. 19-22. Another Whitby club swimmer, Pia Kallio, 9, qualified for the' first time for the provincial ago group championships. Sho qua ifed in 50m back- stroke and will compete in Brantord Feb. 28 to Mar-ch 1. Kallio was fourth in 100m broaststroke at the B level of the Etobicoke meet. Sarah Lo, of the Whitby club contînued to exceil in the girls aged 10 and under division, win- ning four events in Etobicoke.
