Shane Neil scored the winner in overtime as Whitby edged Napanee 3-2 in the final. The Whitby defence came up big in the third period as Napanee had a two-man jadvan- tage three times with the scored tled at 2-2. Whitby had lest their first game of the tournainent, against Cobourg, 3-2. But the team then won ever Port Perry (6-3) and Trenton (3-0) to reach the final. Phillip Greenen and Chuck Coles combined for the shutout against Trenton. Coles earned most valuable player honours in two gamies, while Neil and Mike Orviss also earned MVP honours. Neil had fine goals and four assists in the tournament while Mathew Smith had five' goals and five assists and Justin Terry five goals and three assists.
