Garnier edged in final In an exciting, seesaw contest Paul Dwyer won the high school junior hockey championship with a 4-3 win over Charles Garnier last week. Garnier held a 2-0 lead going inte the third period, but Dwyer camne on strong te tie the score. Then Dwyer's Chris Ryan, who had scored earlier, scored the go-ahead goal past goalie Jean Francois Faubert with 32 seconds left in the game. Faubert and Ryan were outstanding in the final. But Garnier's Sean Hebert tied ,the contest. with onlX. four iseconds. * I ing in the sudden-death overtime period, Dwyer's Joe Hughes scored. the game winner on a wraparound play. Sbayne Bayford of Wbitby won two gold medale. Bayford, 16, who bas won. several provincial and. national titles, won both open loops and openi world class freestle at the senior level in the Burlington meet.
