Now researchers have shown that vitamin C acts as a powerful atitioxidant, protecting tissues from damfage. In one study of human blood plasma, the introduction- of vitamin C into a sample of plasma was so effective that it virtùally caused the perôxidation process to "éome to a complete standstill."
