Whitby advanced to the chapioshp game with great defensive wr~ allowing only two igoals during round-robin play. Whitby defeated Cooksville 12-1, Lancaster N.Y. 5-0, and Stratford 3-1. Paul Valaitis and Màrk Cipparone shared the shutout. The host team, London- Oakridge, was their opoent in the final game. The boys hung tough, flot allowing Wexford te score until late in the flrst period. However,- the strength of Wexford took over halfway through the second and Whitby was defeated 7-0. Needing a win te advance, Whitby came out hard and tough te, face their next opponents Meadawvale. Whitby won, 3-1. Inx the semi-final Whitby met upwth Wexford again. This time Wihitby showed Wexford a different team. Whtywas all over Wexford in the ls period, and had a few scoring opportunities but couldn't capita]ize. After the flrst, Wexford was up 1-0. Wexford scored two goals 40 seconds apart late in the second. Whitby scored one early in the third. Although able te, hold Wexford scoreless in the tird, Witby was unable te score.
