"]Pm not makin g excuses for losing, but one of t he reasons we had a hard time winning was because not aIl districts have the same rules regarding rep jlayers,» said coach Rick White. For ex ample, in hockey, Paul Dwyer and Denis O'Connor high schools may find themselves for- ced out of the high school lea«ue as they may be unable te finish out the rest of the season. "If an agreement is reached soon, then the games will be rescheduled te the convenience of the teanis that Dwyer and O'Connor should have played. If a convenient time is not found then the games will b. scrapped and JJwyer end O'Connor's sea- sons will be over,» saya Derrick Moore, hockey league convener. Teachers wilb vote on a tenta- tive contrect agreement Jan. 23. If there is no settlement then teenis scheduled te play t>wyer or O'Connor in the remain ing games of the season will be credited with a win. "I feel very optimistic that a seUtlement will be reached. If it's flot then it would be rather unortunate as Denis O'Connor (third p lace i the league) and Paul Dwyer (eighth place) are having good seasons,' Moore notes. J.zr.4 4 h , .
