The cast consista of Courthouse Theatre youth members aged 7 to 14. Saley Peel and Geof Jones portray Yvonne and Doug, parents of Donovan and Stefanie (played by Keith Fleming and Megan itchen), 'Who have recently moved into a mysterious old house. The children are delighted to discover their "stuffed toys and animais" magically corne to life after being paoed in a large toy box - at just the right time. The toys, played by KCevin Harper (a bear), Shannon Mil (a doil), Jeif Denby (a clown) pnd Jean O'Brian (a rabbit) must convince the children to believe in them and some special circuxnstanoes ini order to stay alive. Unfortunately, an evil rat, portrayed by Carolyn Dewar, is attemptinig to foil the plans of the toys by scaring the family out of the house. Written and directed by Ken H. Bond of Whitby, the musical fantasy includes anoriginal score composed by Ellen mie- of Brooklin and musical direction and keyboards by Myra Whyte, also of Whitby. Produced by Garvin Farr, the play will run Dec. 13 (seniors' preview), Dec. 14, 15, 16 at 7:30 p.m. each night and afternoon matinees on Dec. 16 and 17 at 3 p.m. Tickets are available for $5 at Promenade Books in Pearson RaUilrod artist at Cullen Gardens Wentworth Foikins, known for his historie paintings of Cana-. dian railroad scenes, wiIl be at Cullen Gardens' Whistle Stop on Sunday, Dec. 10, 2 to 5 p.rn. PAUL SIMIAK, Hungarian Consul-General in Toronto, attended a tribute to world renowned artist and art therapist Csorba Simon at the Perrin Gallery of Pearson Lanes on Saturday. Simon is visiting Canada "lto learn how Canadians live" and to learu about freedom. A marathon runner, Simon was also scheduled to run from Toronto to Pearson Lanes sometime this week, part of a symbolie "freedom"' run.
