Olde Tyme Christmas at the l. gallery has a special kind of mood, one of festivity, friendship and old-fashioned charmi. There is the smell of a freshly cut Christmas trees, hot-spiced cider and home-baked treats. There will be a selection of beautiful hand-crafted pieces by area craftspeople, items to in- clude hand-painted garments, Jewelry, pottery, quilting, corn husk doils, fabric dolls, folk arts, hand puppets, handmade choco- lates and Christmas decorations. Another feature of the event will be the display and sale of art by over 50 area artists, art to include drawings, paintinegs, prints, photographs and sculp- ture. F or those with a sweet tooth, b there will be delicious baking by the gallery members in the bake shop. On Sunday at 4 p.m. there will be draws for six prizes: a ceramic jewelry set by Marcela Luk- avsky, a ceratmc casserole dish by Barbara Kinball, a hand-pain- ted garrnent by Ruth Sedgewick, a candy gingerbread house by Ebba North, a limited edition print of The Station Gallery by Claire McAllister-Gass and a Whitby Arts family membership. Everyone is welcome and admission is free. The Station Gallery is located at the corner of Henry and Victoria streets in Whitby. CORPORATION 0F THE ~TOWN 0F WHITBY SNOW REMOVAL FOR SENIOR CITIZENSý The Town of Whitby is co-ordinating a snow removal program for Senior Citizens wishing to have driveways and sidewalks cleared. The Seniors Activity Centre has recruited students who are willing to provide this service at students' minimum wage.
