Whitby hit andrn Crime Stopera and Durham Regional Police are appealing for the publics help in solving a bût and run collision which occurred in Whitby on Friday, Oct. 13. At about 4:30 p.m. a motorcycle was proceeding easton Taunton Rd. approaching, Garden St. The motorcycle had slowed-down and was intending to make a right turn when a truck passed it on the right shoulder. It bit the motorcycle and both the driver and passenger were tbrown to the ground. ,, The truck c<mtinued te move eastbound at a high speed and disappeared. There were no serious iunjuries but te pa ueger< was taken to the hospital. The motorcycle was extensively damaged. The wanted truck is described as a conventional Maclc tractor unit with aleeper, white in cler with a green stripe about four inches tick along the aide f the'cab and acroes the rear of the leeper'. It had a chrome bumper, round headlighta and a emoke-stack on.the pasenger saie. It was ini vey cdean condition but was blowing black amoke.
