Following the dinner, special awards were presented to incividuals who honor their years of service. Audrey Young was the recipient of the agricultural service diplomna for her years of dedication to the fair. Craft sale By Soxnja Graham Myrtie United . Church will hold a craft sale on Friday, Oct. 27, 6 to 9 p.m., and Saturday, Oct. 28, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free. Burn's Kirk craft show Burn's Kirk Guild will hold another of their popular fali country craft shows to mnclude works by numnerous artisans and craft people, on Saturday, Nov. 4 at Thunderbird Golf Club, Ashburn. The show o pens at 10 a.m. and concludes at 3 p.m. with a draw for a signed, limited edition numbered print by Marc Barrie. Items available include petit point jewehry, pine work, smocking, baby quilts, weaving, ceramc jewelry, andpainted slk scarves and ties, folk art, gift baskets and doorstop nuce. Wayne Disney received the thanks of the Brooklin Spring Fair Board for his excellent organizational skills as the secretary-treasurer for the past two years. Carol Van Henimen, president for the year 1990, paid' tribute to Eldon Werry for bis fine leadership qualities as the president for the period of 1988-1989. Plaques were alo awarded to honor -Stuart Tweedie and John Stroud. Aniber Frost, Miss Brooklin Spring' Fair 1989, was in attendance and emphasized, her excitement in serving as the fair queen. Ini a closing speech, Van Henunen expressed her enthusiasm for her new position as the president. She remarked that the success of the Brooklin Spring Fair could be attributed to the "enthusiasm of youth - with the wisdom of age." Bazaar at St. Thomas A bazaar will be held at St. Thomas Church Memorial Hall, Brooklin, on Saturday, Nov. 5, noon to 3:30 . Two men in ski masks robbed the store, one of the men using a gun to threaten the pharmacist and the other holding a knife at the throat of a part-time worker.
