Many of us have tried to solve the problem by giving the floor a quick clean up and then applying a quick coat of Nfloor raint" only to have the paint peel off like a sunburn a couple of months Sealing concrete can be easy. We recommend clear concrete seals as opposed to colourecl seais. When a clear seai wears, you can* always patch the spot, while wear on a coloured seat necessitates the reseaiing of the entire floor in orcier to match the color. For seaiing basements, where heavy trafflo is unlikely, a water based seat such as Butcher's IRONSTONE is generally best. Alil that is required is a good scrub, using a heavy duty cleaner (SWISH JET), thorough rinsing with dlear water, allowing the floor to thoroughly dry, and the application of 3 to 6 coats of IRONSTONE clepending on the poroslty of the floor and the level of gloss that is desired. For garages or heavier traffic floors, an oil modifed seat (CSG CONCRETE & GYM SEAL) might be desirable. This is a little trickier. First any oul spilîs that may have penetrated the concrete must be removed. If they aren't, the oil will work back up through the concrete and cause the seat to Mif. Generaily, a thorough scrubbing with an industrial degreaser (INDO 500) will work wonders. After scrubbing and rinsing, the floor must bç allowed to dry for a minimum of 2 hours before applying the seat. Apply the seal with a paint roller. Generally one coat will suffice. On a particularly porous floor, watt 6 to 14 hours and apply a second -coat. The resuits are a dust free, wet look f loor which is impervious to most harsh chemnicals. 666-1224 é è ýf K
