'l'e group, comprised of vari- ous community sectors, will ass- ist in dealing with complaints È about Canada Post, Paul Palles- chii, cliairman of tbe York Region Postal Service Customer Council, explained to council. 'We will compliment the local post office complaint, depart- monts " said Pallesebi, a Bramp- ton alâerman. The York Postal council was rcntly (given life) by the fede ral gvernment, wbicb crea- ted nine postal councils across Canada. The York council wiIl serve York as well as Durham, Metro- politan Toronto, Halton and Peel. Palleschi did not however, receive a waram welcome from ail councillors. "I don't see the need for this,» said Sucog councillor Yvonne Cbristie. At about 11:35 p.m. an employee was counting the days receipts at the Penny Gas Bar, 478 Kingston Rd., when he was* bit on the back of bis head and punched in the face. Ho feli o the ground unconscious. About 10 minutes later bis supervisor, who had corne to help close up, found him lying on the floor of the booth. The light in the booth had been turned off and the cash was missing. An ambulance was called and he was taken to hospital, for minorijuries.
