"We think both the active members and retirees are goin to be very proud of this build ing," says Lloyd Clarke, building committee chairman, about the $2.5-million, 23,000-sq. ft. build- ig on the 3.6-acre property in Oshawa. "It's going to be quite a large facility,' says Clarke recently retired GM worker who is also chairman of trustees for Local 222. The new building will have a 350-seat "ballroom," 100-seat room and 50-seat room, dental centre, retirees' section and offices for the executive mem- bers, service representatives and newspaper staff. Buffett donated $1,003 to herself. Runner-up John Dolstra spent $2,818, the amount donated by he and his wife. Jeff Definney, spent $950 while Glen Konorowski did not file an expense sheet.
