The robbey occured in Febru- ary when two men made off with $700 and an unknown quantity of narcotics. Police say the man, Donald Gordon Butchard, was arrested at the Metro West Detention Centre in Toronto last week. f Obituaries Orner Edgley A former prncial of Henry Street High ShoOrner Brown Edgly, 1, ied at the Whitby General Hospital on Friday, March 10. He had been a resident of Whitby since 1953 when he began teaching at the old Whitby High Sehool on Coiborne St. I n 1954, he moved to the new Henry Street High School where he taught English. He later became head of the English lebcamie vice-principal in 1960 and was appointed princi- pal from 1962 to 1970. He retired in 1970, after 40 ears of teaching and was ~onore d with a recephion at the school. A scholarship fund was established in his name for gra- duating students and in 1967, he was awarded the Canadian Cen- tennial Medal for bis service to education. He was a member of the St. Mark's United Church Choir and later in life was a ruember of the Rotary Choir and the Senior's Activity Centre Choir. He also had an interest in square dancing, draina, garden- At he imeofhis death, he was an honorary -eider at St. Mark's United Church. In 1940, he married his former music teacher, the former Laurene Scott, who survives him. He is also survived by two brothers Russell of Brockville and Wiifred (Bill); one sister, Mrs. Mabel Maines of Seeley's Bay and one haîf-sister, Mrs. Georgina McElroy of Lynd1hurst. He rested at W. C. Town Funeral Chapel. The funeral ser- vice was conducted at St. Mark's United Church by Rev. Brian Gee. Internment followed later at Groveside Cemetery.
