Central Region Drivers' Exa- mination offices have been floo- ded with demand for the tests. Durham is part of the region. Harry Molyneaux, of the cen- tral region office, said last Friday that those wantng tests in Osh- awa will probably have to wait until at least March 7. "There has been such a demand for these tests, and there has been a lot of overflow coming out from Toronto," ece ema•. Molyneaux said. The manager of the office Wilf Blais, said that the Osawa office serves all of Durham ReL on. 'T think there's more demand for road tests this year than any other year. There were approxi- mately 252,000 tests last year (in Ontario), and this year there are closer to 400,000? he said. Blais said that 51 per cent of all road tests are done in central region, and that because Toronto is in the same region, many prospective drivers are comingtor Oshawa to take their tests rathier than face longer waits in Toronto.
