Town administrator tsill Wal- lace reportedý to Whitby council Monday night that "the federal government declined consent to go ahead withprosecution." He said a staff person with the government had indicated ap- proval would be gven, but it had not been received at the time of the court date. He advised council that the Town will approach the federal government for approval* and when it bas been received, will go through the courts a second time. The boat b as been in the harbor for the past two years. Another large boat bas already been removed for scrap. Paper Products, including ,i newspaper, comprise 36 per! cent of the garbage placed at curbside for pickup each- week.
