That includes signalling well before turning or changing lanes. 6. Avoid glare from lights. When travelling at night, dim your headlights when meeting or folowing another vehicle. 7. Always observe posted speed limits. Remember, the jýosted speed is calculated for ideal condtions. Anything less than ideal means lower speed. 8. Always wear your seat belt and use infant and child restraints according te manu- facturers instructions. 9. Neyer drive under the influence of alcohol. 10. Stay out ôf the other driver's blind spot. Min*istry introduces air brake program Ontarios transportation min-, istry bas officially announded the introduction of an air brake endorsement driver licensing program. Effective May, 1989,. drivers of air brake equipped vehicles will require a "Z' endorsement on their licence. This endorsement may be obtained starting May 1, 1988. A "grandfather" conversion period will be allowed from May 1 to December 31, 1988 to enable drivers of air brake equipped vehicles to obtain the endorse- ment. Application forms will be available through the ministry's driver examination and licence issuing office and weigh-scale locations. According to the mi'nstry, company-employed drivers should complete -the form,- indicate their experience and hav;e it signed by their employer. If self-employed, a driver experienced on air brake equipped. vehiàcles should com- plete the. application form and take it to a iiotary public or commissioner of oath's . for signature, and then return it to the ministry. Driversý wanting to obtain the endorsement on their driver's licence who do flot qualify for "grandfathering," will be required to take a written test in air brake, systemn knowledge and a practical test with an air brake equipped vehicle.
