From 1986 to 1987 it was 8.4 per cent and from 1985 to 1986 it was 7.9 per cent. Yes again another $234 worth of taxes. This time sewer taxes. But thiànk about it. For $234 a year in peretuit you could purchase and malntain a very nice septic' system. At that rate of taxing who wants to be cormected to the sewers? But, someone would ask, what do you get for ail these taxes? YMCA offers summer tutoring pro gram The Durhanm Region YMCA is offering a summer tutoring program for children in Grades 1-8 in mathematics, language arts, and French immersion. The progrem is designed te provide extra help through the summer for students experiencing difficulties in those subject areas. Cless sizes are very small, ranging from four te six chIdren. Curriculum is set based on expectations of the Durham boards of education and the' individual needs of the child. Experienced tutors will design individualized programs for the students based upon an assessment form previously submitrted to the YMCA by the classroom teacher. Tutoring locations extend from Oshawa to Pickering. rvt tutoring is also availablIe to those students who need extra help or who require . tutoring in Core French.
