Anderson loses to Dunbarton in LOSSA final By BRENDON REINBOLDT Anderson CVI's rugby season came to a conclusion with a loss to a powerful Dunbarton squad in semi-final action of LOSSA rugby. "It was only the second time in 11 years that Anderson has not advanced from LOSSA," said Ron Pither, coach of the Anderson senior team. "Our seniors did very well this year. We played well enough to win the semi-final game but we couldn't score on any of our chances," stated Pither. Dunbarton went on to capture the LOSSA championship with a victory over Brock. "In the division we play in, it is an achievement to get out of LOSSA," said Pither of his team's failure to advance to DYSSAA. "We play five of Ontario's strongest teams within our own division." Although Anderson's regular season has come to an end, the team will act as host this week to a rugby tean from Toulouse, France. "Toulouse is the hotbed of rugby in France," says Pither. "They play exceptional rugby, and we expect very spirited matches between the two teams." The 30 students from College de Trebac arrived Tuesday. The teams will play two games, the first today (Wednesday) at 3 p.m., the second tomorrow at 4 p.m. All games will be played at Anderson Collegiate.
