WHITBY FREE PRESS, WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 16, 1987, PAGE 31 Group presents 'Charlie Brown' The youth group of the Whitby Courthouse Theatre (formerly Whitby Little Theatre) will present its annual December show 'You're A Good Man Charlie Brown' on Dec. 17, 18, 19 at 7:30 p.m. and Dec. 20 at 2 and 7:30 p.m. This popular musical introduces some new faces behind ·the scenes at the theatre. Newcomer David Stone is faced with a rewarding challenge as artistic director while producer Joe Sjekeres tackler his first assignment as producer. Anne Walker and Paul Arbour take on important roles as musical direc- tors while Deb Smith -Schregardus choreographs the dance numbers. The members of the cast range from 10 to 17 years of age. Kevin Arbour is Charlie Brown with Lanie Anderson is the outspoken Lucy. Apperaing in the role of the philosophical Linus is Geoff Jones. Ian Henderson portrays Snoopy. Supporting character are Erin o'Connell as Patty and Sean Farr as Schroeder. Marcy and Sally are known as Michell Kettrick and Carolyn Dewar. "Woodstock and the birds will be performed by Jen- nifer Reeks, Shannon Hill, Sally Peel and Tanya Shaur. When "Charlie Brown" first played to sold-out houses in New York in the sixties, many young stars rose to their fame resulting from this golden opportunity. Among them is a man who is known for his comedie talents, Gary Burghoff from the hit television series M.A.S.H. He portrayed Charlie Brown. Registation began Dec. 1 for the program which costs $1. CONCERT The junior students' Christmas concert will be held at R.A. Sennett Public School from 7 to 7:45 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 17. Admission is a new toy, clothing or food for the Christmas drive.
